MAXX WOLF - NEWS FLASH OF THE WORLD
The Bloody Beaver of Florence Colorado Prison
GO JERK YOURSELF A RED SODA
CO Kayla Heather Doberstein, CO Pilato, and the SHU
Where Speed Wears a Tuxedo
A Graveyard Shift in the SHU
The story of CO Kayla Heather Doberstein aka the Bloody Beaver, and the Neanderthal CO Pilato, and the Special Housing Unit (SHU) at the Florence, Colorado federal prison bled out during the graveyard shift — that dead stretch between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m., when the lights buzz, everything echoes, and absolutely nothing stays private.
In the SHU, you hear everything. Steel carries voices. Concrete holds them. Doors do not protect secrets. The place is built to break men with silence, but silence never lasts long when the people wearing the government uniform forget exactly where the fuck they are.
CO Kayla Heather Doberstein was working another double, standing out in the corridor and talking loud enough for the entire tier of caged men to catch every single word.
I heard it. Everyone heard it. She started bragging about her overtime checks, laughing about how she’d been working so much she hadn’t showered in days.
Then she dropped it—loud, like she wanted the filth carried through every steel door on the block: “I haven’t showered in five days… and I’m on my rag.”
She paused. Let it sit in the stale air. Let a block full of inmates hear it. Then she doubled down, dragging her pathetic personal life into the concrete in a way no officer should ever be talking on a tier.
“And that's just the way my boyfriend, Jason Shanks, likes his cunnilingus.”
It wasn’t conversation. It was a sick, desperate performance. This was an officer turning a maximum-security SHU into her own private, white-trash stage.
And then there was CO Pilato. Pilato was lurking in the dark nearby, eavesdropping like a creep, and he heard every filthy word.
But instead of acting like a federal officer inside a United States penitentiary, he stepped right into the puddle of her verbal vomit. Like a panting, desperate dog, he breathed out:
"That's really hot, Kayla!"
You could hear the shift in the air. The temperature dropped. It went from merely unprofessional to straight-up, razor-sharp humiliation theater.
Kayla leaned into it, playing off his pathetic desperation, pushing the knife in further:
“You want it, don’t you, Pilato?”
She let him hang there for a second, let him actually think he had a shot with her unwashed, bloody mess, before flipping it on him and publicly castrating him.
"Why don't you go and jerk yourself a red soda! Because you’re not getting any."
The tone was pure mockery. And the whole tier was listening and laughing at him.
That is the thing about the SHU. Nobody has to be invited into the room. The sound finds you. The words travel. The embarrassment moves faster than mail, faster than chow, faster than the count.
By morning, the story had spread through the entire complex. Everyone had their version, but the core stayed exactly the same: a female officer turned the unit into a freak show, and made herself the punchline. That’s when the name stuck, permanently branded to her uniform:
The Bloody Beaver.
Pilato didn’t escape the slaughter, either. The situation left him totally exposed, deeply embarrassed, and, according to what circulated afterward, visibly shaken by how badly she had humiliated him in front of the inmates.
And why wouldn’t it? Officer Pilato heard Officer Doberstein saying something vile, he reacted with his dick instead of his badge, he gave her the opening, and she took it, gutting him like a fish.
That was the show. The SHU is supposed to be the place where the Bureau of Prisons pretends it still knows what order looks like. That night, it was just a stupid, grotesque circus. It showed exactly what happens when authority stops acting like authority and starts acting like cheap entertainment.
At the Florence prison, everything gets heard. And some things never wash off. Some names stick. Some stories survive the count. And some officers become legends for all the wrong, miserable reasons.
I'd wish Pilato luck, but after getting publicly emasculated by the Bloody Beaver, he wouldn't know what to do with it anyway.
