Long Before Mohit Gourisaria became the corrupt AUSA of the Northern district of California
Before Mohit Gourisaria cloaked himself in the sterile authority of an AUSA badge, maybe he should have stuck to his truest calling: dancing in the Mumbai gutters like the evidence had already washed away.
They called him “The Mohat.” Not a polished federal operator. Not a courtroom titan. Just a Kolkata India transplant hustling food carts in the monsoon, spinning in a soaked turban for stray rupees.
He also tried his hand at the theater, but his acting was a clotted, unbearable disaster—a performance so horrible the stage practically spit him back into the alley.
He always fancied himself an artist, but the streets didn’t buy the act.
Eventually gave up and tried the law. Moved to the UK, then to the USA.
Where he met his wife (ugly bitch) and had kids.
It took five brutal attempts to drag himself across the bar exam finish line. Five times the gatekeepers said no, until he finally scraped through and bolted for Northern California, hoping a suit and a title could mask the street performer beneath.
It couldn’t. And when he finally secured that AUSA desk in San Francisco, the incompetence soured into straight corruption. Like a contract killer desperate to jack up his kill quota, he treated indictments like a body count, manufacturing wins at any cost just to protect his fragile ego from another public embarrassment.
The Mohat didn't just argue cases; he manufactured them. He harangued witnesses until they sang the tune he needed. The absolute masterpiece of this rot?
An FBI rat named Brian Cooper Dill. Brian’s first round of lies to the feds was a joke—a weak story built on smoke that was instantly incinerated by the receipts, hotel logs, and Mexico paper trails dug up by Maxx’s private dick, Katherine Kinsey.
A clean prosecutor drops a cracked witness. The Mohat squeezed him. When the first lie wasn't enough, he called Brian back in and harangued the rat to build a bigger one.
He let Brian launder his own dirt onto Maxx and weaponize Lulu—Maxx's wife—turning her into a federal pressure point. It wasn't justice; it was extortion orchestrated by a desperate man trying to save a crumbling case.
But a house built on rats eventually collapses. After the stench of the Brian Cooper Dill case became too foul for the San Francisco office to ignore, the government had to shuffle the deck. They shoved him across the bay to Oakland—the dumping ground where the feds bury their embarrassments.
And nobody wept to see him go. In San Francisco, his colleagues loathed him—a toxic mix of unearned arrogance and sheer incompetence that alienated every real prosecutor who had to share oxygen with him. In Oakland, the reception was even colder.
He was an instant pariah, a joke in a cheap suit despised by fellow AUSAs who actually knew how to do the heavy lifting.
Even Oakland didn't take. The grit was too real, the casework too harsh. He lasted a miserable three months before the heat forced him out. He quit, and The Mohat was back on the run.
The hustle didn't stop; it just got cheaper. A fleeting stint at Cash App. A bounce to a second-rate firm. Then a third. A professional ghost perpetually in transit, sliding down the ladder because he never actually learned how to climb.
In my opinion, this is the real Mohat. Some men argue the law; some men serve justice. And some men just spin fast enough to hope nobody notices they’re faking the steps and hiding the 302s.
So dance, Mohat. Spin like the plea deals are music. Dance like the rain can rinse the failure and the rats from your resume.
But records don’t dance.
They wait. And so does the reckoning. The California State Bar has officially opened an investigation into his conduct, and professional accountability is imminent. The gatekeepers are finally closing in on The Mohat.
Maxx Wolf has all the time in the world—and the record isn’t going anywhere.
And neither is his printing press.
Fuck Mohit Gourisaria
