When Christian Lepe warden of Florence Colorado prison isn’t busy shaking down people and acting like King Kong ain’t got nothing on him, he’s apparently practicing his dance routine.
Who knew Warden Christian Lepe had a softer, sensitive side? It takes a special kind of pathetic to play the ruthless shot-caller on the yard, only to sneak off and twirl like a desperate pageant contestant begging for a perfect score.
He wants the inmates to fear his South Central street cred, but the truth is, his biggest threat to the compound is pulling a hamstring while trying to nail his John Travolta point-and-strut.
He hides behind the Bureau of Prisons seal, barking at captive men who can't fight back, but beneath that cheap suit and heavy badge beats the fragile heart of a theater kid who just wants to feel pretty.
The King Kong act is dead. Turns out, the only jungle he rules is the Florence break room dance floor, doing a clownish little shuffle to distract himself from the fact that nobody actually respects him.
